Tying the Jiggy Hot Head Mini Leech Fly Fishing Fly

Mr Mayer’s Mini Leech has quickly become a go-to favorite for many anglers. It is a great pattern in rivers and streams as well as lakes and ponds. Our favorite way to fish it is to dread drift it as a point fly. There are numerous variations beyond just colors schemes…a jig version, a hot head version, the standard version. Here’s a hot head version tied in black, which is consistently a productive color. We will have several hot head versions available for the 2024 season.
