Pat’s Rubberlegs is a staple. It is also a relatively simple fly with few materials. The biggest challenge are the legs…..what to do with them? We show a method that works for us. In other words, it facilitates a relatively quick tie while also allowing us not to lose our mind! This technique – using your thread as a third hand – is a technique that can be used on other flies when trying to hold materials out of the way or stacking several clumps of material together (like two different colors of marabou for a tail).
