The Yellow Sally hatch is both prolific and drawn out. Yet, we often overlook it because of the other excitement happening simultaneously….bugs like PMDs, Drakes, Golden Stones, and Caddis. If you’re fishing during these hatches without as much success as you’d expect, try a yellow sally.
We like messy and chaotic dry flies. Here is a yellow sally imitation that is messy, incorporates newer materials, and borrows techniques from other flies.
