Another good chironomid pattern! This one got us as many looks as it's sister fly, the Jumbo Juju Zebra. It was especially effective when large, red "bombers" were coming off. The takes were strong and violent....the fish were absolutely convinced! The material is strong and highly durable and will last through dozens of fish.

I recently purchased several of these flies for use in eastern Washington's desert lakes. Chironomids (midge pupa) are a staple for trout here and I was convinced they'd work. Wow, did they! When all of our usual snow cone patterns slowed, these continued to get steady, aggressive takes. The grey body with black rib is a near-exact replica of our most common chironomids. The flashback and red butt give an extra touch, one that we feel contributed to this pattern's success. The material is highly durable.....I've caught dozens of fish now on the same fly.

I like it a lot. The pink is my fav, and it throws pretty well with an 8wt skagit. I was happy that it has a great hook on it with the right gap and in the right size. Great for Salmon and Steelhead.

I liked this for Steelhead because its action is nice in the water. I am looking forward to the pink/orange when available. Only reason it didnt get 5 stars is it needs a wide gap hook. But a great fly. You may want to add a chartreuse as well. But black is money.

Did very well with this fly over the weekend. held up to many fish - never changed the fly. Great hook, too
