No longer uses real peacock herl for the body. Now it is some kind of synthetic dubbing. Still an ok fly, but noticeably less effective. Nothing quite matches real peacock. Should probably change the name.
Note From Store Owner: We agree! Nothing synthetic can (yet) exactly duplicate the iridescent sheen of natural peacock herl. We have, however, had great experience and results with this dubbing both in terms of appearance and especially durability. As a result, we have updated numerous flies with Synthetic Peacock dubbing. These changes should all be reflected in the product photos. If you’re not happy with the new version, please reach out to us directly at [email protected] to figure out how to return the unused flies for a refund.
