No longer uses real peacock herl for the body. Now it is some kind of synthetic dubbing. Still an ok fly, but noticeably less effective. Nothing quite matches real peacock. Should probably change the name.
Note From Store Owner: We agree! Nothing synthetic can (yet) exactly duplicate the iridescent sheen of natural peacock herl. We have, however, had great experience and results with this dubbing both in terms of appearance and especially durability. As a result, we have updated numerous flies with Synthetic Peacock dubbing. These changes should all be reflected in the product photos. Well tied and yet to be skunked while using it

Loaded up for cold spring flows w a selection of juju baetis (purple, flashback) and emergers (buckskins and chocolate thunder) and, yup, they worked. Killer day and the bows and browns ate em all.
