With the introduction of Ultra Wire to the tying world, many standard patterns gained weight while keeping their figure...Brad Befus created the Wired Stonefly pattern to get down fast while keeping a realistic profile. Too often, Stonefly patterns become too fat and disproportionate by adding lead wire underbodies. This multi wired body offers some segmentation using two color wires wrapped together. Fish this pattern below an indicator with Fluorocarbon or in tandem with a Prince Nymph.
