Rod Hamilton, author of Do It Yourself Bonefishing and Fly-Fishing the Yucatan, re-designed the Gotcha to include rubber legs, which a bonefish can't say no to. While it is effective for the Do It Yourself fisherman, guides love it too. Rod has had great success with this pattern.

This fly is tied on a Gama SL-11 3H. The Gamakatsu SL-11 3H is one of the strongest and sharpest hooks available, and worth every penny when you hook-up with a fish of a lifetime! Please note that the size 8 is tied on a Gama SL45.
Additionally, new production also includes a weed guard, which can easily be trimmed off if it is not necessary.

I have been using variations on this fly for years in the Bahamas. The orange sili legs seem to be the difference.
