I have so much faith in this pattern because I tested it on some of the most selective trout in the country - Deckers and Eleven Mile Canyon in CO. Leeches are present in most rivers throughout the year. I use it as my attractor fly on a 2 or 3 fly nymph rig. It's dead drifted but very forgiving if you catch a little drag because fish will also take it on the swing. Try it and you will not be disappointed.
