A wire body twist on the original Soft Hackle. This wire body gets down fast and the soft hackle alludes to the movement of a swimming or struggling nymph.
I'm enjoying this Fly. The segmented body and the soft hackly look like a food source.

This fly is superbly tied. I fished one of our small mountain streams last weekend [Late April]. I suggest the size 14 early in the season then go smaller.
Cross cast 90 with the current. Fish them as close to the bottom as you can without getting hung up too much. Use a few micro bb splits, adjusted for the pull of the current. Let your cast finish completely and expect savage hits almost anytime in the delivery.

I like to swing soft hackles and this one is the perfect color for caddis emerger and has been very productive.
I guide and had clients catch over 10 fish each on the Colorado river on that fly
