Description
Many rivers grow a population of aquatic worms, or annelids, reaching 1 to 3 inches. They occur in many colors, but typically look like an earthworm...just smaller.
This pattern was originally developed for use in the San Juan River in New Mexico. Turns out, fish will gladly take this pattern in nearly any locality.
Color is important, so take a variety of colors.

Between the added bead for weight and the color of red you can get finicky fish to strike on the fall.
Great fly.

This is the only San Juan worm to use. I was very pleased with the quality and durability of this fly. It stood up to some serious abuse.
