The Poison Tung is another one of Charlie Craven's brilliant patterns...this slim, deadly winter midge pattern adds wire and a tungsten bead to get down fast. Fish in tandem with a Zebra Midge using Fluorocarbon tippet.

This has been very productive on the Poudre River, especially in winter months. Recently tied on in tandem with a fire red SJ worm and that combo worked great...a couple aggressive Browns hit the worm and many took the Poison Tung. Came unraveled after 8 or 10 fish though

I want these well stocked in my box when it comes to fishing midges. Has fooled trout on freestones and tailwaters.
Big trout ate em up!

In know they are an easy pattern to tie but yours worked well and held together because I caught 8 to 10 nice browns before they got trashed
