The Copper J (compare to a Copper John) is a combination of three very effective nymph patterns, the prince nymph, the brassie, and the pheasant tail. The pink color is best used as the top fly, and works at getting a fish's attention. When the second fly passes, the fish are ready to strike!
The pink Copper John was a killer last week on the Provo River near my house in Park City, Utah. Got 4 browns in 10 minutes the first time I tied it on.
