Likely the most recognized Midge pattern, the Brassie was created for the South Platte river drainage near Denver Colorado in the early '60's. The Brassie has never failed to remain a staple in fly boxes across the nation being tied in many color variations, it's likely responsible for the introduction of such materials as Ultra Wire. The bead head version adds weight to the already heavy bug getting it down in the strike zone even more efficiently.
