The original design of the Tarpon Toad incorporated the rabbit strip tail as shown here, with a wide head/body designed for buoyancy, this design also tracks flawlessly. A slim or sparse pattern that has lifelike movement with the ability to sink very slowly, giving the angler more time to lead the fish. The Rabbit Strip Tarpon Toad will remain one of the best fishing flies for Tarpon based on its design...change up the color for your destination, water color. If you're in the Backcountry, this pattern shines for Snook and baby Tarpon.

The hook is one of the most important parts of this fly, and we spare no expense. The fly is tied on a Gamakatsu SL12s 1X Short, which will give you the best chance at catching the Silver King!

The Narrow Body Spoon Fly is designed to be stripped fast, then allowed to drop. The fly will pull back from the fly fisherman while it drops, maintaining slight tension and wobbling downwards in the most enticing manner. Takes are seldom subtle!

Along the lines of Redfish Crack and Cracklin', this is a fly that has been praised as "the only fly you need for anything that swims in Louisiana...espcecially big bull Reds!"  Bold...buuuuut, that's actually not grandiose enough...this fly catches anything that swims from Florida to the Texas Coast.  When the water is off color, try the white and chartreuse.  In clear water conditions, the Olive, Rust, and Purple are money.

Tied on the razor sharp and hulkishly strong Gama SL12S.
