The Clouser Minnow is a fly with a wide variety of species caught to it's credit. (Lefty Kreh claims to have caught over 85 species on this fly!) It is an effective pattern for any predator fish found in freshwater or saltwater.
The fly was designed to imitate baitfish. Be prepared with several color combinations to match the local baitfish.
Tied on a Daiichi 2546 stainless steel hook.

Beadhead Crystal Bugger - Grey - While this Beadhead Crystal Buggger in grey will work plenty like his brother dressed in black, don't be afraid to tie this on and give it a whirl when the sun is out and there is nary a cloud in the sky. Beadhead Crystal Bugger - Olive - A great all-round fish catcher. We've caught hundreds of fish on tthe Beadhead Crystal Bugger in Olive. Works really well in smaller sizes when fishing in ponds and lakes for warm-water species as well as trout. Use it as the lead fly on a short leader and drop off another bugger in a different color and watch your line straighten! Larger sizes work in still water as well, of course, but we prefer to throw the larger-size olive buggers when fishing in rivers for trout.
