The Echo Shadow X Euro Nymph Fly Rod was designed by Euro Nymph guru Pete Erickson, 2018 Fly Fishing World Champion Norm Maktima, and expert Mariusz Wrobewski to build a rod that is absolutely dialed-in to perform at the sport's highest levels.
By using the most advanced high modulus graphite available, Rajeff was able to achieve the lightest rod they have ever produced. When you need to feel every nuance happening under the water, having the lightest, most sensitive rod you possibly can is the difference between 1st and 10th place.
Simply put: This is the most challenging project Rajeff has ever completed in their life as a rod company. Neither Rajeff nor our experts in the field would be satisfied without a rod that balanced a level of sensitivity not before thought possible while keeping its ability to achieve effective hook sets.

Amadou is primarily composed of a mushroom: "Fomes fomentarius", and its primary purpose is taking soggy, water-logged, good-for-nothing dry flies and getting them ready to fish again. A simple squeeze between the two pads of this magical material sucks out water from a drowned fly, restoring its ability to float. Though it stands alone as a means of keeping flies floating, it is best viewed as a piece of the dry fly puzzle that includes some kind of dip or gel, and/or a powder floatant.

Have you ever tried to use the hook eye cleaner from your forceps to remove a split shot only to end up with a punture wound? We have. We've also swallowed split shot after removing with our teeth and split nails deep into the nail bed while wrestling with split shot.
