When a damsel nymph hatches into an adult, it will slowly swim through the water horizontally, aiming toward land. Fish this pattern from shore on sinking tip line, retrieving in slow short strips. (Be careful to match your fly's direction of travel with the other nymphs!) Many of the hits will occur during your pause, which will be subtle.
