The Clouser Minnow is a fly with a wide variety of species caught to it's credit. (Lefty Kreh claims to have caught over 85 species on this fly!) It is an effective pattern for any predator fish found in freshwater or saltwater.
The fly was designed to imitate baitfish. Be prepared with several color combinations to match the local baitfish.
They love this fly + caught a 10 lb catfish on this fly today!

Well, what can I say. The book is closed on the 2012 fluke season here in NJ. Tried several colors of your clouser minnows as trailing teasers. These are without a doubt fish producers. I have found the silver shiner and red and white to be particularly productive. That is not to say others didn't produce . But, man these two colors were in another league. Fished them on party and private boats, I easily outfished the other anglers by a minimum of 4 to 1. Ninety percent of my fish hit the clouser tipped with squid, fluke belly or sea robbin belly strips. The remaining hit the bucktail jig. The discountflies clousers are now a permanent part of my arsenal. The price and fast delivery can't be beat either. Great product folks! A real fish producer!
