I recently fished the McKenzie river in Oregon and used this fly extensively. The trout were mostly rising on caddis and stonefly patterns, but if there was a lull, I could tie this fly on and still catch fish. I ordered the largest they had available, a size 12 I believe, and even though it was working well, I was wishing I had even larger sizes. It's a wonderful fly. It sits on the water perfectly and with a little Dab on it, will stay dry for quite a few fish attacks.
