Product Description

This fly was desgned years ago in the Bahamas, and has been responsible for many, many bonefish. This classic fly is the "Parachute Adams" of the bonefish flies.
Don't head out without a good selection of Gotcha's.
New production of this fly is being tied as follows:
- #8 as stated above is tied on #8 Tiemco 811S (This hook requires a lighter tippet)
- #6 as stated above is tied on #8 SL-11 3H
- #4 as stated above is tied on #6 SL-11 3H [NOTE: because of a shortage of SL-11s in this size, we are temporarily tying our size 4s on a Gama SL-12S hook. This hook is the same size, but has a slightly larger hook gap]
- #2 as stated above is tied on #4 SL-11 3H
The Gamakatsu SL-11 3H is one of the strongest and sharpest hooks available, and worth every penny when you hook-up with a fish of a lifetime!
Additionally, new production also includes a weed guard, which can easily be trimmed off if it is not necessary.

Awesome fly that the Bonefish love in the Bahamas. However, to effectively fish this fly in the turtle grass, you need to add a piece of mono to the front to make it weedless.
Comments from Discountflies: Thanks for your review. We will add a weedless version of the Gotcha soon!

We've scheduled our 2nd trip to Andros. The last trip (April 2016), this particular shrimp pattern was the clear winner. Not sure about anywhere else in the Bahamas. Will re-review after our next foray.

Well made , good proportions and colors.

Fished with guide Buddy Pindar of Marsh Harbor. Gotcha got 'em! Did have to change flys as the original one got somewhat tangled, probably due to my sloppy casting, but the fly itself held up well and did catch fish. Buddy's box was well filled with your flys - he's an advocate of yours. I certainly will recommend Discount Flys, and will get other flys from you too.
