Description
New materials are a big driver of fly design and innovation. Jig off beads (also known as inverting beads) were originally used for nymph patterns. Capt Dave, however, is using these beads to improve saltwater flies. By incorporating the bead into the body of the fly, the fly lands softer and sinks hook (and head) up. The perfect shrimp for tailing fish!
Tied on a Gamakatsu SL11-3H hook. Tied with a weed guard.
