Ok. I am an avid fly fisherman, guide and fly tyer. I use a different version of this fly. My unique pattern has caddis green dubbing with a red wire rib. The hackle and thorax are the same. By far this is the most effective caddis pattern I have ever used. My largest rainbow, 28", was caught on this fly on the Green River, NC. I have used it everywhere in NC, SC, GA for trout. I have never been disappointed. Try tying it in size 18 and 20. Tie it on and hang on. By far the best fly ever made.

Well the description (above) of this pattern is SPOT ON! My new favorite caddis emerger for my clients, it produced on every trip I've guided this year!

I have yet to catch a fish on this emerger pattern, but after checking out a few emerging caddises on a river i love to fish i know this will be the fly i want. so hoping next time i am out i can take advantage of this fly.
