Doug's XB Green Drake

Fishing the rivers of the western United States in June, July, August and even early September, you'll often experience hatches in the afternoon and evening of the west's largest mayfly, the Green Drake. Big and beautiful, the XB Green Drake has a profile that hungry trout can see coming from a long way off. The closed-cell foam extended body and dun cut hackle make this fly almost unsinkable, unless a hungry rainbow takes it under, that is. After the catch, straighten out the antron silhouette wing and you're ready for another go! And guess what, the trout will be, too!
