Fish a beetle dry fly by throwing the fly hard at the water, so it splashes, just like the natural would when it fell, or was blow onto the rivers surface. Try drifting it, and if this doesn't work, strip the fly as though the beetle were frantically trying to run back to the safety of the shore.

A very nice fly for a really nice price. When you can't match the hatch a beatle is a good change up. Saves a lot of why am I trying to get the line through the eye of this 22? Even if you are just prospecting a beatle is a good bet. Well tied, good price. It is a 5 for me.
Awesome pattern

This Bettle pattern is great. During the summer months the trout are very picky and this pattern produces when others don't. I bought all three sizes, just figure out the size and land them all day !!
