Description
The baetis hatch is a fairly significant hatch of mayflies, occurring during much of the year. This makes the blue-winged olive patterns an excellent trout fly to carry in your fly box year around. Trout can be fickle, so carry several "flavors" of baetis, including the blue-winged olive extended body, the blue-winged olive hatchmaster and the blue-winged olive.

SImple, classic, effective. You can see the fly well from the coloration of the wings and it is easy manipulate it's presentation. I like to put my floatant on the wings and let the adbomen hang below the surface as an emerger presentation, which works very well with this fly.

I fished with the BWO Thorax a few days after I received them and they did the job. I think the silhouette is excellent and not over-tied.
