Description
The Rabbit Strip Diver Fly is tied with highly bouyant, densely packed deer hair, and trimmed so that the fly submerges or dives when stripped, then re-surfaces. The fly creates a lot of air bubbles and noise, which really attracts the attention of Pike, Bass and other predators. The rabbit strip tail appears to "swim" in the water, adding another element of realism to this fly.
The most effective way to fish this fly is on sinking tip or sinking line. Give the fly a quick strip, which will submerge the fly. Let the fly work its way back to the surface, and repeat.
This shape of fly was originally designed by Larry Dahlberg, called the Dahlberg Diver.
