Zonker Strips: Some find that these smaller 1/8 inch cut work best for most "Zonker" flies. These strips are cut length wise for a flowing effect. Approximately 3 linear feet per package.

We are always on the lookout for new materials and these Synthetic Zonkers are an example. These 100% synthetic strips swim just like rabbit and are extremely durable.  They are easy to cast because they shed water. The "hide" is very easy to work with and can be used like crosscut rabbit for streamers and big nymphs.  Cut the fibers off the hide and they can be used in dubbing loops and dubbing....one of our favorite ways to use the tan color is for the mouth on shrimp patterns and for the body of mantis shrimp.  1 1/2 yards per package.  

Pine Squirrel zonkers are relatively new to the fly tying scene. These pine squirrels are soft tanned and supple. Although the underfur can be used as dubbing, our favorite use of the material is as a zonker strip on patterns like the Mini Leech or Slumpbuster. These strips are cut 1/16th in wide. A total of at least 24 inches in each pack.
