Pat's Rubberleg Stonefly is a simple Stonefly pattern that has fooled trout for decades...Weighted underbody, dense chenille, and long squirmy rubber legs is all it takes for Pat's Rubberlegs to continue putting fish in the net. Fluorocarbon leader will help the plummet and get you in the zone.
Add a jig hook to keep the fly from catching the bottom of the river, and a dense tungsten bead to get the fly deep, where big fish prefer to feed, and you have a winner.

I use this pattern in Steelhead Alley in Erie PA. Works best in clear water. Impart some jiggling motion to get the legs moving
