Description
While the parachute hopper is not the most realistic hopper pattern to a fisherman, this is not the case to trout. We have found this to be the most effective hopper pattern ever tied, possibly because of how low it rides in the water. To imitate the natural behavior of a grasshopper, land the fly with a plop, and twitch the line occasionally.

I have been using these hoppers for a number of years on western rivers and they work great. They will bring up the big rainbows and browns.
