If we ever find ourselves stranded on an island surrounded by redfish (could we be so lucky?!?!), we sure hope that we have a pile of Po Boys and Hopedale Crabs. Arguably, these are the only two redifsh flies needed 80% of the time. This fly is tied on an Ahrex TP650, which has a 26 degree bend. With the eyes placed on top of the shank, this hook acts like a jig hook.

Capt Dave, however, is using these beads to improve saltwater flies. By incorporating the bead into the body of the fly, the fly lands softer and sinks hook (and head) up.
