Description Ultra Thread has been engineered as a fly tying thread from the beginning. All of Ultra Thread's characteristics were carefully chosen to enhance its tying performance. Ultra Thread is produced in 4 different deniers (70, 140, 210, and 280) to meet the needs of every fly tyer.

UTC 70D is a great size for tying the smallest of flies and for tying with low bulk on larger flies. It is the ideal choice for dry flies, nymphs, and midges size 14 or smaller.
UTC 140 Excellent for the majority of flies; it is the perfect choice for size 2 -16 flies. Due to its vibrant sheen and excellent color retention, it is a good substitute for floss on small flies.
UTC 210 is an excellent choice for saltwater flies and large streamers.

Cross Cut at 1/4” strips perpendicular to the grain of the hair (good for wrapping or palmering forward)

Classic Waxed Thread 6/0 150 denier has been designed specifically for fly tying for large Salmon, Predator, Streamer flies and for deer hair spinning with its great strength and usually used on hook sizes 8 or larger. Classic Waxed Thread 6/0 lays flat with a two core construction but can easily be split to create dubbing loops. Semperfli worked with their Pro Team to get the correct amount of wax on each thread to hold materials but not clog your bobbin. Having developed and manufactured their own computerized spooling machinery, this thread is put onto the spool with touching turns in totally level traverse to essesntially make thread nests a thing of the past.

Semperfli created the highest quality polyester tying thread that you can have complete confidence in for your fly tying. With Classic Waxed Thread 6/0 240 Yards Gray you get complete color consistency with every batch.
