Years ago a purchased some BWO emergers with a silver bead in the center and they were a killer. Sadly, I don’t know the maker and have searched low and high to no avail. That is until finding this one; it’s not exactly the same as the ones I had, but the fish certainly haven’t noticed; they tear this thing up! Once I see the BWOs starting to come off I trail this BWO Thorax Emerger behind a micro may and it is on! Like AmEx, don’t leave home without some.

Great looking fly and the fish thought so as well. Fished it during the start of the BWO hatch on the North Platte. I slayed them all three days. I love standing in the river with a bunch of other guys around and am the only one catching fish.
